Streets of Rage 2 PC port: quick answers
- Do I need to own Streets of Rage 2?
- Yes. SOR2 New Era needs game files from a copy you own. PlayPorted links only to the project page and never to game files.
- Is the Streets of Rage 2 PC port finished?
- Yes, the project calls it playable. Its last update was Jan 2026.
- Which systems does it run on?
- Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Is it an emulator?
- No. SOR2 New Era rebuilds the game's source code, so it runs as a native program instead of through an emulator.
Maintain SOR2 New Era?
